Jeremiah 17:5 NASB "Thus says the Lord,
“Cursed is the man who trusts in mankind
And makes flesh his strength,
And whose heart turns away from the Lord."
My phone was ringing more often than usual and it seemed that each call was a man looking for some guidance. I wasn't sure what was going on but if I were a betting man, I would say that satan has turned up the heat on men. Today's verse speaks about trusting in mankind and making flesh our strength. The men that called asked me to pray for they were going through a difficult struggle and had found that trusting themselves was leading them into more trouble. They finally began to trust in God's strength and not their own. We prayed, we cried, we shared God's Word and His Promises. The struggle of manhood is easier when we rely on Christ and each other to pray, to walk beside and learn that our strength comes from God and the power of the Holy Spirit. Don't give up today, don't give into the lies of satan, reach out to God and godly men to come alongside us in our struggles. Remember HE is the Way through the darkness! peace, tom
