Galatians 5:23 NASB "gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law."I had fished many years so I didn't need anyone to tell me to take it slow and easy! Today we read part of the Fruit of the Holy Spirit, to see the whole list read Galatians chapter 5. As the fish hit the lure, I knew it was a lunker, a big one and so gently I began to reel him in. There were times when I had to let line out so the fish didn't break the line. I was excited and yet I had to keep my self control from reeling to fast or hard and losing the fish. Sure it took a lot of time to be gentle and in control but once in the net, the wait was worth it! Life will bring challenges where we need to use gentleness and self control and I have to ask, do we really need anyone to tell us when that is?! The verse says that there is no law against such things so it's not a "have to do it" kind of thing but a "we choose" to do it thing! Always comes down to choice! peace, tom
