2 Timothy 2:7(NASB) "Consider what I say, for the Lord will give you understanding in everything." When she first said it, I thought to myself "no way!" When I was in school, the teacher wrote on the board and said that 2+2=5! and I thought she lost her mind. For years I had learned that 2+2=4 and now I was being told that it equaled 5!! Today's verse speaks about understanding and to consider what is said and that will help in our understanding. As the teacher went on, she said that we are assuming 2 represented two things but if the number 2 was representing some other thing, then 2+2 could equal 5! It was the beginning of algebra class and boy did I have a lot to learn. Reading God's Word can get a little difficult at times but if we study His Word, really going deep in it, we will find an understanding that will come from the Lord and help us apply His Word to our world. Don't let preconcieved ideas keep us from all that God wants us to understand! peace, tom
