Today 7-4-2022

2 Corinthians 3:17 NASB "Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom."I recently lost my freedom but I can still rejoice in Him! Today's verse speaks of the freedom found in the Spirit of the Lord! Having to be quarantined for a week due to Covid, I found myself trying to understand what true freedom is all about. Sure I couldn't go where I wanted, do the things I wanted, see the people that I wanted but I could be with Jesus each day. When our earthly freedoms are taken from us, we can still find freedom in Christ. I thought about those who came to this country, to get away from the religious persecution of their day to start a new country, a new way of life and we celebrate that freedom of the independence of our country. Brave men and woman, willing to go against the norm, to fight for the right to worship God so no matter where we find ourselves, let us live the freedom found in Christ!  Happy Independence Day!  peace, tom
