Matthew 5:30 (NASB) "If your right hand makes you stumble, cut it off and throw it from you; for it is better for you to lose one of the parts of your body, than for your whole body to go into hell."It was a difficult decision but one that I had to make! The Word for today may seem extreme, it may even be something that we wouldn't do word for word but the Spirit behind the Word is! After coming to know Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior, I needed to do some cleaning out. There were things in my life that didn't line up with God's Word, there were people in my life that were not helping my walk with Christ and in fact hurting it. I had to cut them out. I did pray for them, that they would meet Jesus heart to heart, but I couldn't hang out with them in their current lifestyle. Cutting our hand off, like today's verse says, is a drastic measure, but the reality is that going to heaven without something is better than going to hell with it! Making the hard decisions doesn't come easy but if we truly want to walk the walk, it's time to get out the saws and do some cutting! peace, tom
