Philippians 2:4 NASB "do not merely look out for your own personal interests, but also for the interests of others."I could have stood by and said nothing! Today's Word is about not only looking out for our own interests but also for the interest of others. While shopping at a nearby lumber yard, I happened to glance down the aisle as I was looking for the wood I needed. There down the aisle, I could see an elderly man struggling to put some wood in his cart. I could have just ignored him but knowing Jesus, I walked down and offered to help. It didn't take but a few minutes, and as I went back to loading my own lumber, he came over to me and offered a sincere thanks. We talked of how getting older makes things more difficult and how having a helping hand makes life easier! Let's be a helping hand by keeping our eyes open for the opportunity to help.It will only take a few minutes of our time, for one day, we will be there! peace, tom
