1 Corinthians 14:33 (NASB) "for God is not a God of confusion but of peace..."I didn't really think that stepping back would make a difference moving forward...but it did! Today's verse speaks about our God being a god of peace, not confusion! Things were getting pretty stressful and the noise level of differing opinions was becoming louder by the minute. While getting ready to enter the burning building, each member of the crew began to shout what they thought best in how to attack the fire. Some ideas were better than others but with each of us sharing our ideas, the overall communication was breaking down. That's when it happened - we took a step back and took a breath. The best option was chosen and we began to attack the fire! In life, we can become so confused by the noise of the world that we aren't sure where to turn next. Take a moment, spend some time in prayer, listen for the voice of the Holy Spirit within our hearts and we will begin to find His Peace and be able to move forward. Don't let the confusion of the world ruin the peace of Christ in our lives! BTW His Peace is the best way to put out the fires in our life! peace, tom
