Today 5-1-2020

2 Timothy 3:17 (NASB) "so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work."The ten week training was over, the new gear was given out, and now it was time to put what we had learned into practice! Whether I was getting ready to fight fires for the city I lived in, or learning a new skill with my dad or even starting a new job, I had to first learn and be equipped for the task at hand. Today's verse speaks to us about being adequate and equipped for every good work! As we do this thing called life, in a new fashion due to the Covid-19 outbreak, we still need to be equipped for what God is calling us to do. The best place to get equipped and be adequately prepared is by staying in God's Word, His Manual sort of speak, about how to handle life. If I didn't do the training and study what to do and how to do it, there could have been some serious problems. Maybe it's time we set aside time during this "homestay" and get equipped for what God is asking us to do... just my thoughts! peace, tom
