1 Peter 2:2 NASB "and like newborn babies, long for the pure milk of the word, so that by it you may grow in respect to salvation,"He watches me get it ready and can't wait to get it! Babysitting our youngest grandson, I am always amazed at how he watches me when it's time for his bottle. His eyes never leave me or the bottle as I get it prepared! Today's Word shares about being like a newborn, longing for the pure milk of God's Word, that we may grow in our walk. He's not able to speak, talk or walk but he knows the importance of getting feed. He eagerly awaits bottle time and enjoys every last drop. I wonder if we crave God's Word like a newborn, eagerly reading it daily, ready to let it strength us for our walk on this earth. The milk nourishes our grandson so that he will grow up strong and healthy. Maybe we need to be in God's Word so that we may be stronger, and healthier in our walk as followers of Christ?!
