Mark 10:45 NASB "For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many.”We donned aprons and grab our trays and headed out into the crowd that had gathered! Today's Word shares about being a servant, that even the Son of Man came to serve and even to the point of giving His very life as a ransom! We had volunteered to help, serve those who had come to enjoy a hot meal. To see their faces, the smiles, the greetings of "thank you" as we went about serving those who came was truly a blessing. It didn't take a lot of effort to serve them, it just took a commitment on our part to serve rather than to be served. As we go through this time of uncertainty with the Covid virus, I wonder how we can serve our fellowman rather than sit back and wait to be served?! All it takes is a commitment on our part to put others first, just like Jesus did for us! Serve well my friends! peace, tom
