1 Peter 5:8 NASB "Be of sober spirit, be on the alert. Your adversary, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour."As I crawled around to "get him", I made the sound of a roaring lion! Having fun with my grandson, we began to play a game where he would run through the house and I would try to "get him" by acting like a lion! Today's verse speaks to us to be ready and alert, for the devil seeks to get us like a roaring lion! As I began to crawl around after him, I realized that I was acting just like today's scripture shares! I wasn't looking to devour my grandson but just get him and make him laugh. The sad reality is that the devil isn't looking to make us laugh but to get us off the walk we have with Christ. He is waiting in the shadows, at a moments notice to pounce on us, to destroy what God has created within us. Let's not allow the devil to "get us" but stay strong in the Word, praying without ceasing, walking in the Spirit, and staying alert!
