Today 11-2-2020

Romans 8:18 NASB  "For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory that is to be revealed to us."If you told me it was going to end that way, I never would have believed you! Waist deep in raw sewage, we needed to find the drain to begin to drain the basement. The odor was terrible, the work was hard and the thought of quitting was on my mind! Today's verse speaks to us about not considering the present time of suffering to be compared to the glory that awaits!  I wanted so desperately to quit but I had given my word and signed the contract that my crew and I would do the work, we needed to fight through the ugliness of the situation to find the end result! When the drain was found and the basement began to drain, we felt a relief that the bad situation would be over soon! No matter what we are going through today, we need to remember that one day, it will all be over. We will see the glory of our Lord and rejoice if we remain faithful to Him and His Ways. So, take courage, find strength in Christ and the power of the Holy Spirit to keep on keeping on! What a day that will be when we see Him in all His Glory, we won't even remember the struggles of today! peace, tom
