Ephesians 4:22 NASB "that, in reference to your former way of life, you are to rid yourselves of the old self, which is being corrupted in accordance with the lusts of deceit"I had let them sit idle for too long! Today we read about getting rid of those things that are corrupting us! When I went to get the tools needed for the job, I found them all rusted together, unable to work until I did some serious cleaning up! As I sanded down the rust, oiled them up, I couldn't help but think how when we let our tools get idle, they begin to rust and possibly even be ruined to where we no longer can use them. And then I thought about the tools God has given each of us and if we don't use them in the service of His Kingdom here on earth, they are really useless. When we don't use them, we find that our time will be used by those things that can corrupt us. Too much time in front of the TV, or time on our phone, or sitting idle with nothing to do, will corrupt our tools to where we ourselves become useless - let's not let that happen, get out the sandpaper of His Word and the oil of the Holy Spirit and get to work! The world needs us and Him! peace, tom
