1 Timothy 1:5 NASB "But the goal of our instruction is love from a pure heart, from a good conscience, and from a sincere faith."He cared, he really did! While being a young apprentice on the job, I had the opportunity to work with an elder statesman. As he taught me this and that, I could tell that he cared about what I was learning and spent the time to make sure I understood each facet of the job! Today's verse is Paul speaking to Timothy about the instructions coming from a pure heart, a good conscience and a sincere faith! I wonder as we teach others about Christ, are we just going through the motions or do we really care?! The elder statesman was so thoughtful that he even spent his lunch hour making sure I understood what he was teaching! I pray that as we teach the younger generation of men about Jesus Christ, that it is from a pure heart, a good conscience and a sincere faith - if it ain't, maybe we need to spend some time with God in prayer to make it so! peace, tom
