James 1:3 NASB "knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance."Flights were canceled, rental cars were running low but I knew that these were just tests to see how faithful I was going to be in getting there! Today's verse speaks about knowing that our faith will be tested and that testing will produce endurance for the tasks at hand! Whether I am traveling to speak at a men's meeting or trying to get back home, there are times when it seems as if that task is impossible. Each time a delay enters the picture I ask myself, what is God trying to teach me or what does He want me to do. Many times I find that in trying to get the travel plans back on course, He will lead me to a man to share God's Word with. Sometimes it's sharing a cab ride, or sitting next to him on the plane but I need to be open to where God is sending me on the journey. I must remain faithful through the testing and endure it till the end. How are you being tested today, are you seeking God's strength through the Holy Spirit to endure the test? When the journey gets hard, it's time to cry out to God and seek the encouragement of other godly men so that our faith produces endurance! And know this, we will get there but it just may be His Timing! peace, tom
