1 Peter 4:8(ESV) "Above all, keep loving one another earnestly, since love covers a multitude of sins."Not sure if you've ever done this, but I was challenged by a friend one day to list my positives and negatives. As I began to write them out, I found myself wondering why my wife loves me, for my negative list was far longer! Today's verse speaks about loving each other and how that love covers a multitude of sins! I wonder if we have ever thought that God loves us despite our negative lists. At our worsts, HE still loves us, and cares for us. The best part of making that kind of a list and being brutally honest with ourselves is that we can begin to make positive changes in our life. With the recent shut down of a lot of our "normal" activities, we can begin to seek our God's help in making those negatives, positive! Make a list and see where you stand when it comes to God's Word and then find the love of God within the same pages of His Word, then love on someone else today!
