Psalm 126:2 NASB "Then our mouth was filled with laughter And our tongue with joyful shouting; Then they said among the nations, “The Lord has done great things for them.”"We just had to laugh! Today's verse is about laughter, something that gets lost along the way with all the struggles of life! We were running late so we had to eat fast and get to the church. As Carolyn dished out the sloppy joe mix, we had an opportunity to find out that it was truly sloppy as it flew off her spoon, hit the counter and landed all over the floor. Years past, I would have allowed this to get me angry and frustrated but when we allow Christ to be our guide, we can laugh at things like this. As I began to clean up the mess, we laughed and laughed at how far the sloppy joe meat had traveled. We were allowed to laugh and still made it on time. Thanking God for the small moments of laughter can brighten the bad days we have, we just have to recognize the great things the Lord has done for us and not get so stress over spilled sloppy joe mix! Enjoy a good laugh today! peace, tom

2 Corinthians 13:5 NASB "Test yourselves to see if you are in the faith; examine yourselves! Or do you not recognize this about yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you—unless indeed you fail the test?"I forgot to check it! Today's verse is about testing, and testing ourselves, something we don't really like to do! The line had broke, and I lost a rather large fish. I wasn't sure if I had snagged on something or the knot I tied had come lose but either way, the fish was gone! Upon examining the line, I found it old and brittle, I should have replaced it before I went out but never tested it before I left. Testing can be a good thing and help us find the areas that need our attention, and testing ourselves to see if we are in fact part of the faith of those who believe in Jesus Christ should be a test we all do, whether we like it or not. Let's not lose an opportunity to bring God glory because we find ourselves old and brittle but find new life in the testing of our faith! peace, tom
