Zechariah 8:5 NASB "And the public squares of the city will be filled with boys and girls playing in its squares."I couldn't wait to get my homework done! Today's verse speaks about Zion and how when God rules, the children will play in the streets! I had to get my homework done, then I could go out and play! We played stick ball, street hockey, touch football every day after school. I happened to notice the other day that I don't see kids playing in the streets any more, or finding a field to play touch football, or getting together to enjoy the outdoors! Something has happened to the world where our children don't gather to play outside. Maybe it's time we take a look at our children and realize they've lost the fun we used to have?! Let's pray for the children to find the joy of the Lord and get outside and have some fun! peace, tom

Matthew 6:34 NASB "So do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own."It can keep us frozen where we don't do anything! Today's verse is about worry and how today has enough to worry about! The "what if's" in life can keep us so occupied that we end up doing nothing! There's an old Garth Brooks song that has lyrics that read "what if tomorrow never comes, will she know how much I loved her!". We can be so worried about tomorrow that we never love on those today! Problems will arrive each day and if we worry about those that will come tomorrow, we will never get anything done today. Let's take it slow and easy and let each trouble that comes our way be covered in prayer! God will help us through them if we take them one at a time and allow His Spirit to comfort us. We may just find out that He is in control no matter how much we think we are! peace, tom
