Proverbs 19:2 NASB "Also it is not good for a person to be without knowledge, And one who hurries his footsteps errs."I was in such a hurry that I messed it up! Today's Word is some great advice about knowledge and making a mistake, be sure to take time to let it sink in! I had never used the machine before, didn't take the time to read the manual and began using it without really knowing what I was doing. I thought I could just "fake" it so the other men wouldn't know my lack of knowledge, boy was I wrong. Immediately the guys told me to shut it down and began to give me advice on how to use it! Admitting that we don't know is better than pretending to be wise in our own eyes, that can lead us to trouble! Going to God's Word, for the best knowledge we can find on how to live in this ungodly world, is making sure we can walk without erring! Don't be wise in our own eyes but learn the knowledge that's free, we just need to open the Book! peace, tom

2 Corinthians 4:8 NASB "we are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not despairing;"It was late in the third period, the score was tied and my legs were burning! Today's Word gives us hope that no matter what we face, how bad we think it may be, there is hope in Christ! The team I play on had fought the good fight and as the third period was winding down, the other team scored a late goal. The score was tied and as I looked down the bench, I seen that we were all exhausted, having played hard for the entire game. As the buzzer ended, we were headed to overtime! When the puck finally crossed the line, our team rejoiced for we have fought through the exhaustion and won the game. Life may have us exhausted, our spiritual muscles may be hurting but we are never without hope when we have Christ on our team. You may never have read the entire Bible but in the end, we win, cause Jesus Christ won the battle for us, let us think on that! peace, tom
