1 Corinthians 14:33 NASB "for God is not a God of confusion, but of peace..."It wasn't intentional and yet it caused so much confusion! Today we learn a simple truth from His Word, and that Word is that God is not a God of confusion! When they ask me how will they know, I simply reply that you will have an inner peace, the simple calmness of the Holy Spirit that only He can bring! The crowd had gathered around the accident site, so when we got there, it was difficult to even get to the vehicle to extricate the occupant. My officer began to yell at the people to get away but the more he yelled, the more they ran in confusion. When he calmly began to speak to the people, the scene opened up and we could do our job. Don't let the confusion of others cloud our life but let the peace of Christ reign in such a way that others ask "how can you remain so calm in such a crazy situation?" And no matter what "smile, cause people will think you're up to something!" peace, tom

Colossians 4:6 NASB "Your speech must always be with grace, as though seasoned with salt, so that you will know how you should respond to each person."It just needed one more thing, then it tasted better! Today we learn about our speech and how it must always be with grace, so that we know how to respond to others! While enjoying a meal with friends, my dinner tasted as if it lacked something, and once I sprinkled it with salt, the meal came alive. I was one who would fly off the handle, be quick with a come back, and sadly hurt many by the tone and language I used. Today I am slow to speak and think twice before I utter a comment that could hurt some one. Our words can do so much damage, but His Word will always be an encouraging word! Let's get out the salt shaker today and speak with salt! peace, tom
