Ephesians 4:16 NASB "from whom the whole body, being fitted and held together by what every joint supplies, according to the proper working of each individual part, causes the growth of the body for the building up of itself in love."I could see and feel the love! Today's Word speaks of teamwork, and although it refers to the body, it can also relate to the team we have around us in life! It takes everyone to make the body work properly, whether it's a sports team, a family team or even a church board team. Coming down with a sickness that kept me from doing my part, the team around me stepped up to the plate and took care of things. It was a blessed and proud day for me as I sat back and watched the team go to work. People came away blessed as they worked together to get the job done and in the process shared the love of Christ with those who came. Admitting we need help isn't a sign of weakness but strength in admitting we are part of a team and need each other! And of course, the Captain of the team is always Jesus Christ! What team are you on?! peace, tom

Philippines 4:13 NASB "I can do all things through Him who strengthens me."It hasn't happened yet! Today, we read about doing all things through Christ, for it is in His Strength, it will get done! Happy New Year, but it doesn't feel any different, just a new day, a new calendar page. What makes it a new year is not tearing off the page on last year's calendar, it is what we make it. There is that old saying "it is what it is!", but I believe it is what we make it to be. Don't let satan rob us of the blessings that God has in store for us this year. Don't let the world tell us we can't but let the strength of Jesus be our guide as we truly make it a Happy New Year. It will take all that we have, courage, integrity, encouragement, empowerment of the Holy Spirit to step out in faith and do the impossible for Christ. Let's get the ball rolling and reach out to one person to share Jesus with and invite them to your church, your home, your faith in Christ! peace, tom
