1 Timothy 2:5 NASB "For there is one God, and one mediator also between God and mankind, the Man Christ Jesus,"When I needed a plumber, I didn't call an electrician! Today's Word, made simple, is that Jesus Christ is our go between. He is the One that stands between us and God - no one else! Many times I needed help, help on a particular job site and I'd call the person I knew who could help. Each person I called, had the knowledge, tools and skill to get the job done and done right - so why would we go to anyone but Jesus to carry our prayers, our cries, our pain to God our Father?! Jesus stands for us right now between ourselves and God the Father - so go to Him, cry out to Him, allow Him to send the Holy Spirit comfort to us in our time of need - that's why we pray "In Jesus Name" - it's acknowledging Jesus as our mediator - the only One! peace, tom
