Matthew 6:15 NASB "But if you do not forgive other people, then your Father will not forgive your offenses."It's one thing to forgive, and another to forget it! Today's Word is about forgiveness and it's importance from God our Father! I held on to it for too long. Every time I saw him, I felt the anger and the hurt build up inside. It was so bad that it could consume my whole day. I never wanted to get even but there were times I thought about it. I had to let it go, the unforgiveness I held in my heart for him. Not until I came to grips that the unforgiveness kept me from moving on, did I realize it was time to let it go. I forgave him and the next time I saw him, I didn't feel the anger or the pain. Now I needed to forget it! To let it go and move on. Too often we hold onto the pain of our past from others. Forgetting is part of the healing process when we have been hurt - so let's let go of the pain by forgiving and begin to move on. Remember, we too have done things to hurt others, even God, but He sent Jesus as the Way to be set free! peace, tom
