Today 9-1-2025

Matthew 11:28 NASB "Come to Me, all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest."Even He rested! Today's verse speaks to us about rest when we are weary and burdened. I have been guilty, and maybe you have been too, that we don't take the rest we need. I found myself working 150 hours a week, thinking I was making a difference. I had been taught a good work ethic but carried it too far. There is a time for rest, a time to sit back and relax and enjoy the blessings of the Lord. As we celebrate Labor Day, a day to thank God for our employment, to thank God for the workers who are tirelessly working, take a moment to rest. Get together with family and friends and enjoy them. Sit and laugh, sit and do nothing, sit and thank God for a day to rest! May your day be filled with rest, just like God did on the 7th day! peace, Tom
