Romans 15:5 NASB "Now may the God who gives perseverance and encouragement grant you to be of the same mind with one another, according to Christ Jesus,"I had the opportunity to work with some great fire fighters and chiefs! Today's Word is about perseverance and encouragement as we have the same mindset! Early on in my firefighting career, I was blessed to work with some really great men. Men who were willing to lay down their lives at a moments notice as we entered fire buildings. Many of those men took the time to show a "rookie" how it's done, what to look out for and how to keep each other safe. There were many nights at the fire house that those men took an interest in a young man learning the job, but it became more than a job, we were family! Since my retirement, I have joined another family. It's the one at the local church. People coming together who care about each other and helping to encourage each other in Christ! Don't let life keep us from getting together with family - be of the same mind with one another and get to know the family of God at your local church! peace, tom
