Galatians 6:2 NASB "Bear one another’s burdens, and thereby fulfill the law of Christ." He needed someone just to listen! Today's verse speaks to us about fulfilling the law of Christ by being there for someone else! You could see it in his eyes, he was down and depressed. As he walked into my office, I knew things were not right. I asked "what can I do", his reply  "just listen!" - He began to tell me where he was in life, how things had gone wrong, how he didn't know where to turn. I sat quietly and just listened, praying as he spoke. He wasn't looking for answers, or judgment, he was simply looking for someone to listen. Maybe that's why God gave us two ears and one mouth. There are times when we need to keep one shut and the other two open. When he got done sharing, we prayed, we prayed some more and he thanked me for listening. Let's not be afraid to bear one another's burdens even if that means keeping our mouths shut! peace, tom
