Isaiah 40:3 NASB "The voice of one calling out,
“Clear the way for the Lord in the wilderness;
Make straight in the desert a highway for our God."I can still hear him saying "make sure they are all straight!" Today's verse, while it speaks of a time long ago,  can or should be still calling out for us to make straight the Way of the Lord! From the second floor of the new house we were building, the lead carpenter yelled out "make sure they are all straight!" - He was referring to the studs used for the second story walls. Sadly, some studs come with curves in them that just wouldn't be good for the walls. They curve this way and that and have uses in other areas but not good for the walls of a new built! In life, some of us curve this way and that, and not going the straight and narrow. When we allow the world to enter into our lives, we usually end up on some curved path that only leads to disaster. Find the straight Path in Him, and follow where He leads - it will be the greatest adventure of your life - and you can say "I'm finally home! " peace, tom
