Today 6-5-2024

Philippians 3:13 NASB "Brothers and sisters, I do not regard myself as having taken hold of it yet; but one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead," I sat back and remembered! Today's verse is about not getting there yet, but forgetting yesterday and moving ahead! I sat back and thought about the New Year's Resolutions I made at the beginning of the year. Now, half way through the year, I looked to see how many I kept, how many I have forgotten about, how many I am still doing. Crazy but more than half of them I have not done. Somewhere along the first 6 months of the new year, I gave them up, stopped working on them or simply forgot I ever made them. Taking time to seriously look at where we are in life, how we live our life and what changes we would like to make is a good thing from time to time. The key of course is keeping our focus on moving ahead and not letting the past drag us down. One area I have been faithful is in reading God's Word daily, how about you?! peace, tom
