3 John 1:4 NASB "I have no greater joy than this, to hear of my children walking in the truth." It was a conversation I will never forget! Today's Word is about finding joy that our children are walking in the Truth! I had not been a good son, but had allowed anger and other things to come between my dad and I. The early years of my boyhood had caused my father many times of disciplining me, loving on me, and trying to teach me how to be a man. One day, while fishing together, the subject came up of how I had behaved in my younger years. We talked about the pain, the disappointment, the struggles. If my dad hadn't kept the lines of communication open between us, no matter how much he was disappointed, things may have turned out differently. As we were finishing up the conversation, with tears flowing, he told me how proud of me and the godly man I was trying to be. There were hugs, laughs, tears and I will always remember how much he loved me. God our Father loves us like that too  - that no matter how off course our life may be or has been, He is always there to love on us - maybe it's time we let Him!
