Hebrews 12:7 ESV "It is for discipline that you have to endure. God is treating you as sons. For what son is there whom his father does not discipline?" I thank God I had one who did it with love! Today's Word is about discipline and how God treats us as sons! It was never easy but it had to be done. From time to time, when I did wrong, my dad would discipline me. I always remember him not just giving me the discipline but telling me the reason why. The reason why never made the discipline easier or less painful but as I grew up, I could understand what was the proper way to act, speak, and live. Discipline without the explanation can almost seem like child abuse but with it, the children can learn the lesson. When it was my time to be a father, I remember the words and lessons of my dad and tried my best to honor God in disciplining my daughters. It's never easy but it has to be done, and God does it best, all because of love! Let's remember to discipline with love, it makes a difference! peace, tom
