Ecclesiastes 10:10 NASB "if the axe is dull and he does not sharpen its edge, then he must exert more strength. Wisdom has the advantage of bringing success."No sooner did I used the chisel, when I realized it needed to be sharpened! Today's verse speaks of a dull axe and how it will take more effort to get the job done! The first pass of the chisel, upon the wood, slid right away. It didn't take any wood off and I realized, the chisel needed to be sharpened. It was a slow process to get the chisel back into shape for I had left it sit in the tool box too long without getting it ready for work. In life, we may have been sitting around for a while, getting dull and not being sharp at what God has called us to do. The world would call us lazy, but the Lord will allow us to get sharp again, to get up and become useful again. The key is..will we get up, get sharp and be a blessing to someone today - it always comes down to choice! Be sharp today and every day for Him! peace, tom
