Proverbs 19:20 NASB "Listen to advice and accept discipline, So that you may be wise the rest of your days."I could listen to him for a long time! Today's verse speaks of listening to advice and accept the discipline! I still miss my time with him but reflect on what he taught me. One day, each week, I would meet him for coffee. We sat there and as he shared, I learned. I listened to his advice, his lessons of life he learned and I gained understanding, wisdom and knowledge just by listening to him. He has passed on to glory but the memories, the lessons, the knowledge still remain. Let's not be so quick to dismiss the older generations but take the time to sit and listen to their stories - we will be amazed at the wisdom and knowledge they are willing to share. Let us also be willing to pour into the next generation, the advice and wisdom we received so they too can learn the lessons of life! peace, tom
