Exodus 20:13 NASB "You shall not murder."It seems rather simple but it goes deeper than that! Today's verse is rather short but the meaning goes deeper than just the physical act of murder. As I sat talking to the young man, he never looked up, had no excitement in his eyes or voice. As we began to talk, I realized that his spirit was killed many years ago. There was no confidence in him at all. Somewhere along his short life, someone had murdered his spirit to where he sat there lifeless, no hope, no future, he just sat there. I am still working with him on what God says about him and not what whoever broke his spirit said. When we have hope, hope in Christ, we can look to the future with excitement. Looking at life as an adventure with God and He shall supply all our needs along the way. Let's make sure we are uplifting those around us, especially the young ones, cause most of them need it more than we will ever know! peace, tom
