Job 6:10 NASB "But it is still my comfort, And I rejoice in unsparing pain, That I have not denied the words of the Holy One."It's the age old question! Today's Word speaks to pain and how we must never deny God and find comfort in Him. I was asked recently, that age old question of "if we know Christ, why do we suffer with pain?". I had to sit back for a second and let the Holy Spirit guide my answer - and it was that we go through pain and hurt to make us stronger. That being said, doesn't make it any easier to bare but we must look through the pain, to the day when we won't be hurting. I know, it sounds like a cop out but we must hold firm to our faith in Christ and keep our eyes upon Him, not the pain. Sure easier said than done but it can be done, if we allow the Holy Spirit to comfort us and thank God for those who come and comfort us and pray for us. It sounds crazy but thanking God for the pain, puts our mind in the right place! Not about us, but always about Him! peace, tom
