James 3:13 NASB "Who among you is wise and understanding? Let him show by his good behavior his deeds in the gentleness of wisdom."He didn't have to say a word, I could tell by his actions! Today's verse asks a question and then gives us the answer. I had been in his company a few times and each time, I walked away a little wiser. He didn't really teach me anything by what he said, it was his actions that spoke volumes. He was a gentle man, humble and yet, touched the lives of many. Just by how he treated them, spoke to them, cared for them.. His actions were those of Christs - he lived what Jesus teaches us through His Word, that we are to love others, even those we may disagree with. I knew whenever I was in his presence, to keep a sharp eye out for how he interacted with people. He was always putting them first and himself a far second. Being around people like that, we can't help but learn a little about how to treat others! peace, tom
