Proverbs 4:25 (NASB) "Let your eyes look directly ahead And let your gaze be fixed straight in front of you."It was early on in my carpenter career that I learned a very valuable lesson! While taking sheets of plywood up to the roof to be installed, I had taken my eyes off the beam I was walking on and fell to the floor below! As I looked up, I seen the foreman looking down at me as he said "we need that sheet of plywood up here! Today's verse speaks to us about where to keep our eyes, looking directly ahead of us and fixed straight in front of us! While walking the beam, I had taken my eyes off it and looked elsewhere, thus when my next step came, I missed the mark and fell to the floor below! Keeping my eyes straight ahead would have saved me from a lot of pain that day and maybe you've experienced that type of pain when we have lost our sight on the Lord above. It's never too late to get back on track, to keep our focus on the Lord and what He is calling us to do. And there maybe others waiting for us to do the job God called us to do, like the foreman on the job, God is saying "I need you to do this for Me today?! Let's keep our focus straight ahead and fixed upon Him! peace, tom
