2 John 8 ESV "Watch yourselves, so that you may not lose what we have worked for, but may win a full reward." We didn't anchor it properly! Today's verse speaks to us about keeping a watchful eye, so we don't lose what we have worked for! Working on the shore line of a customer's property, we were to put anchors in so that the next wave wouldn't take away any more of the shoreline. After placing a few anchors, we watched as the next wave hit and washed away all that we had done! In life, if we aren't anchored in His Word, all that we have worked for may just vanish in an instant. Think of the men who worked so hard to have a reputation ruined by one simple slip off the tracks. Let's make sure we anchor ourselves to His Word and the Rock of Salvation, Jesus Christ, for when the waves come, and they will come, we can stand firm on solid ground! peace, tom
