2 Corinthians 5:17 NASB "Therefore if anyone is in Christ, this person is a new creation; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come."There's just something about Spring! Today's verse is one we've probably heard many times but have never applied it to ourselves! The snow has melted away and that left an ugly mess in the yard. It was time to clean it up, rake up the left over leaves of the fall, hidden under the snow and allow the new grass and flowers to begin to grow. Too often, we have let the covering of sin keep us from starting new, fresh in the forgiveness of our Savior. Maybe it's time we did some soul raking, taking off the old so that the new creature in Christ can begin to grow. It was hard work, cleaning up the yard but when it was finished, I took a moment to look at the newness of the yard. That can happen in our life, if we take the time to clean out the trash! peace, Tom
