Matthew 26: 39 NASB "And He went a little beyond them, and fell on His face and prayed, saying, “My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from Me; yet not as I will, but as You will.”"I didn't want to do it but... Today's verse is Jesus crying out to His Father about not really wanting to go to the Cross. I was asked by a customer to do a job that I didn't really want to do. It was to clean out a basement filled with sewage water, rats, and garbage of all kinds. She said her building had flooded months ago and it needed to be cleaned, but no one would take on the job. I remember thinking to myself, I don't want to do this but it needed to be done and the owner wasn't just a customer but a friend as well. Jesus didn't really want to go through all that pain and suffering but because of love, He did it. He honored His Father over His own will. Let Jesus clean us up by accepting Him and the work He did on the Cross. Let His will be done! peace, tom
