Today 4-14-2025

Isaiah 40:3 NASB  "The voice of one calling out, “Clear the way for the Lord in the wilderness; Make straight in the desert a highway for our God." It was harder than I thought! Today's verse is a cry, a shout in the wilderness to tell us He is coming! The job was simple, hold the crowd back as the "star" went past. We first lined up, arm in arm, but as the word got out that he was coming, the crowds began to push forward. They pushed so hard that the line of protectors began to break and then it was chaos. I wonder, when we know that Jesus is returning, will we rush forward, or will we step back, possibly hide somewhere for we know we haven't been living as we should?! There is still time, time to make things right, time to accept Him as Lord and Savior! As we prepare this week, Holy Week, may we find the passion in ourselves to clear the way for the Lord in our lives! peace, tom
