Proverbs 15:5 NASB "A fool rejects his father’s discipline, But he who complies with rebuke is sensible."I should have listened! Today, April Fools Day, our verse speaks pretty clearly that we are foolish if we reject our Father's discipline! I am sure he must have thought to himself, how many times do I need to say it to him and show it to him! While growing up, my father would teach me different lessons of life, but there were many times I was too foolish to listen. One day, while working on my vehicle, he came along and offered his advice, his knowledge but I was too foolish to listen. Hours later, still working on the same thing, he came along and offered the same advice. I finally gave in and did what he said and the job was completed in no time flat. God's Word gives wisdom, advice, knowledge but if we are too prideful and think we know best, we are the fools. Let's not be foolish but learn from the Word of God! peace, tom
