Proverbs 26:18-29 NASB "Like a maniac who shoots
Flaming arrows, arrows, and death, So is a person who deceives his neighbor, And says, “Was I not joking?”"You had to keep watch all day, for you never knew when it would happen. Today's Word is great advice about joking around! While it was fun to prank each other on April Fool's Day, it was a way to laugh together. My family was always pulling pranks on each other, trying to make the day an opportunity to "get" each other. Although the jokes were harmless, some jokes go too far. I thank God that we didn't carry it to the extreme. One such joke is that there is no God, no life after death, no way to be saved. Life after this one is no joke when it comes to where we will spend eternity. It comes down to choice, either heaven or hell. Flaming arrows and death can be avoided by simply accepting Jesus as Lord and Savior and that ain't no joke! peace, tom
