1 Peter 1:13 NASB "Therefore, prepare your minds for action, keep sober in spirit, set your hope completely on the grace to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ."We can easily be distracted! Today's Word tells us to prepare for actions, to keep sober in Spirit, and set hope in Jesus Christ. I looked away for a second and ruined the piece of wood I was working on. I needed it to a certain size and shape but I was distracted and let my mind wander and had to start all over. In life, we can become easily distracted by the ways of the world. Thinking that that way is better but when it all comes down to it, Jesus Christ is the only Way. We need to be prepared in our minds to keep our focus on Him and Him alone. When the temptation comes to distract us, we need to set our minds on Him. Sure easy to say but hard to do - let's prepare our minds for action by keeping our eyes on Him! peace, tom
