Acts 15:28 NASB "For it seemed good to the Holy Spirit and to us to lay upon you no greater burden than these essentials"Follow the rules! Today we read that it was good to the Holy Spirit and to the early church leaders to lay out some rules to follow. It didn't matter whether I was in school, at the Fire Acadamy, or at home growing up, there were rules that needed to be followed. The rules weren't there to put me down but to keep me on track. If we look at rules as a burden, then they will be harder to follow but if we look at them as guidelines for our life, we can learn what's best. God's Word is filled with guidelines to keep us on track, to help us learn right from wrong, good from evil, what to do and what not to do. The key is do we see them as burdens or as helpful tools to a better walk with Christ and each other?! peace, tom
