Romans 5:4 ESV "and endurance produces character, and character produces hope," He had lost all hope! Today's Word speaks to us about endurance, character and hope, without one, we may not find the others! He sat in the hospital bed and looked as if he had already passed away. His face was drawn, his eyes almost shut, his physical body was broken. What do you say to a man who has lost all hope?! I tried to share Jesus in a kind loving way but he didn't want to hear any of that. He was simply waiting to die but his body just wouldn't give up. The reality is that many men are living just like this guy only not in a hospital. They go from day to day with no hope, no endurance, and no character. Coming alongside them to help restore the hope of Christ with them is a challenge at best but it can be done, it all comes down to choice, - theirs and ours!! peace, tom
