Matthew 24:42 ESV "Therefore, stay awake, for you do not know on what day your Lord is coming." I tried but just couldn't do it! Today's verse reminds us to stay alert, awake for we know not when Jesus will come! As a young boy, I wanted to stay awake to catch Santa, putting gifts under our Christmas Tree. I tried to keep myself awake but sadly I fell asleep. Sure enough, the next morning, he had come and there under the tree were gifts he left behind. One day, Jesus will return to take us all home to Heaven but if we are asleep, when He returns, we will miss Him. Let's make sure we don't miss His Second Coming by celebrating His First Coming with open hearts and making the season all about Him - BTW, He did leave us all gifts before He returned to Heaven, and the greatest gift was Himself! Let's pass Him along this Christmas Season! peace, Tom
