1 John 3:17 NASB "But whoever has worldly goods and sees his brother or sister in need, and closes his heart against him, how does the love of God remain in him?" Maybe we need to ask ourselves, if the love of God does remain in us? Today's verse speaks of having blessings and then not sharing them! As I drove away from the Church, there stood a man by the side of the road. A simple sign "help needed". I had to pull over and offer what I could but as I was talking with him, a car drove by and yelled some rather unpleasant things to the man. I apologized that he had been treated that way - his response was "it happens all the time"! Maybe it's time we ask ourselves, how do we show God's love. Do we simply drive by or walk by those in need or do we stop and help?! With Christmas not too far away, its an opportunity to live Jesus by simply helping those in need. There are more than enough opportunities to help, we just need to stop making excuses and get off our good intentions! peace, tom
