Romans 15:13 NASB "Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that you will abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit." It was purely and simply joy! Today's verse is actually a prayer for God to fill us with joy and peace, abounding in hope! As we handed out the Christmas gifts, the faces of the children were filled with joy and hope. Not sure what they were going to get, it didn't matter, they were thrilled to be getting anything! Christmas brings a sense of joy and hope to little children but sadly many adults have lost that joy, that simple hope of believing in something greater than ourselves. As we move closer to the celebration of His Birth, may we find the joy of the season. That to us, a Savior was given. To take away our sin and be renewed in hope. May we find the joy of a child and the hope of eternal life, in accepting Jesus as the reason of the season this year. peace, tom
