John 10:10 NASB "The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I came so that they would have life, and have it abundantly."Rise above the muck! Today's Word speaks about death and life and life abundant! It became a ritual, a routine, a habit and I found myself just doing it to do it without any real thought behind it. I had promised myself that I would read His Word every morning, and I did so but a few months into it, I found that I was just reading to read and not really meditating upon it. I had to stop and take one verse at a time, and take the time to ask myself "what was God trying to say to me" - Many times we do things because we've always done things - no thought behind it, no real reason why. Sometimes we need to step back and ask ourselves why, why are we doing what we are doing - is it to have abundant life in Him or is it just a habit?!  Some habits are good but others just keep us going and end no where - let's ask why and find a good reason to either keep going or to stop! peace, tom
