Proverbs 27:17 ESV "Iron sharpens iron, and one man sharpens another."The sparks were flying! Today's Verse, probable the most used when referring to men helping each other out, is a verse better lived than read! It's the phrase that is used most at men's conferences, men's bible studies, men's groups and there is even a national organization named the same. As we began to cut the steel, the sparks were flying, then came the grinding wheel, and even more sparks flew. Whenever there is metal work done, there is usually sparks and bits of metal that come off. The verse today, refers to men helping each other out in life by asking the hard questions, asking each other to be honest with our lives, and holding each other accountable to His Word not ours. Get with a group of men and being willing to ask and answer the hard questions, sure there may be some sparks but we will be strengthened by it, as we honor God by how we live! peace, tom
